World Book Day 2016

To celebrate World Book Day on 3rd March many staff at the Academy dressed up as their favourite literary characters. Some were in traditional Shakespearian costume to celebrate the 400th anniversary of his death and students were surprised to see characters such as Lady Macbeth, Juliet and even Shakespeare himself roaming the corridors. They were accompanied by other well known individuals such as the Mad Hatter and Draco Malfoy. Students completed a quiz about the different characters and took part in a competition to take the best reading ‘selfie’.
