Senior Citizen Lunch

On Tuesday 15th December, over 50 senior citizens from Bradeley Village and ‘the Living at Home Scheme’ were invited to have a Christmas lunch in the main hall at Haywood Academy.  Y10 prefects supported the event by serving the lunch to our guests and hosting a table alongside senior members of staff.  After lunch the guests watched an amazing performance of Oliver.  The production included the dynamic duo of Alex Lawrence and Mia Sant in Y8 as Oliver and Dodger, belting out classics like ‘I’d Do Anything and Consider Yourself.  Saffron Duffiled (Y11) took on the role of Nance, while Ben Meir in Y10 played Bill Sykes.  Ryan Callaghan in Y11 showcased a comedic portrayal of Fagin.

The guests were very complimentary about the lunch, thrilled with the performance and are looking forward to visiting us again in the future.
