Young Engineer of the Year 2015 – Best Gadget Award winners as featured in The Telegraph

Haywood Academy all female team ‘Spell Scribe’ have spent the last 9 months developing a product to help literacy in Schools. They designed a pen that uses micro processors and kinetic sensors to correct misspelt words, telling users via a sound and vibration. OLED’s are then used to tell the user of the correct spelling. This was chosen at the KMF Young Engineer of the Year 2015, held at the Britannia Stadium, to be the ‘Best Gadget’ Award. The award was chosen and presented by Jason Bradbury from the Ch5’s Gadget Show.  Click here to read the coverage featured in The Telegraph.
