Arnold Bennett Walk

On the 19th & 20th May, Y7 students from Haywood Academy and Y5 & Y6 pupils from Mill Hill primary took part in a literary event, organised by Mrs O’Dea, Head of English at Haywood.
Mrs O’Dea worked alongside the ‘Arnold Bennett Society’ and representatives from the art school in Burslem to put on a carousel of activities including a walking tour of the Bursley Trail, a literary treasure hunt and an art activity.
The students completed their day with a creative writing lesson. Some of the creative writing articles produced were displayed at the ‘Hot Air Literary Festival’ at the Emma Bridgwater factory on the 12th June.
