Changes to the School Uniform

Details of School Uniform Changes:

Haywood Academy will start its 2014/15 academic year with a very impressive new school uniform.  The development of the design has been a long process involving representatives from our stakeholders and students.  We are very proud of the final product and look forward to seeing everyone wearing it in September.

We appreciate however, that the introduction of a new uniform may raise concerns about an increased cost.  To support in this move, the Governing Body has agreed to subsidise the cost of this uniform initially for the whole school and bring it to you at a much reduced rate.  All of the new uniform details are listed on the attached page.

If the new uniform is not ordered by Friday, 15 August, we cannot guarantee delivery on time for the start of the new academic year.  Therefore, there will be additional open nights hosted at Haywood Academy and at the National Schoolwear Centre outside of traditional opening hours to help secure your purchase on time:

  • 25 June, 3.00 pm – 7.00 pm at Haywood Academy
  • 24 July, until 7.30 pm at the National Schoolwear Centre, Hanley
  • 31July, until 7.30 pm at the National Schoolwear Centre, Hanley

If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact Jill Chadwick at the school on 01782 882690 or email:
